Don't Waste Your Time

Time is a precious gift from God. We can't buy it. We can't store it up. We can't hide it. We can't return it or give it away. Time is so important. It is more valuable than money. Learning to make the most of your time is one of the best things you can do, as you strive to navigate and master this journey of life.

Who are you intentionally spending time with? Time is a precious commodity that can never be reversed or replaced. When you waste your time, you are essentially wasting your life. Be careful of the voices you allow in your head. Who do you allow to influence your thoughts, decisions, motives? Are they credible sources? Are they worth the consequences/results (success or failure) which they may influence. Do they help you calm the storms or cause them to occur?

It is critical to surround yourself with good information - constructive conversations with people, quality reading materials, inspirational and informational videos or television shows, motivational music, etc. Constant improvement produces constant positive change and growth. Be consistent and intentional - doing things on purpose. Sometimes those things will be NOTHING. Do nothing on purpose! Allow (give yourself permission) to do nothing. Relax, Meditate, Rest. This is definitely Not a time waster- it is a life enhancer. You can't keep running and never refuel. You'll run out of gas and find yourself in worst shape/setback instead of moving forward. Staying still is not a bad thing. Sometimes you need a break - a time of withdrawal. It's okay to get away and refuel. It's a reset. Jeremiah 31:25 says, "I will refresh the weary and satisfy the faint." After you rest - Get Back to Work.

Set yourself up for success. Don't let negativity poison your dreams and goals. Fill your time with purpose. Fill your "space" with people who are a help, not a hindrance. If you have a helper, who is not helpful - reconsider their role. Don't waste time trying to fit a square peg in a round hole! Believe in yourself, while understanding that Faith without WORKS is dead (James 2;26). Be Steadfast, Immoveable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, knowing that in the Lord, your labor will not be in vain (1 Corinthians 15:58). Use your time wisely and surround yourself with dedicated, faithful people who support good intentions for your life and the lives God intends for you to impact. We are placed on this earth for service. Always be ready, Be prepared to SERVE. Being charitable and compassionate is rewarding to both you and the receiver... AND it pleases God!

Hezekiah Walker has a song Wonderful is Your Name:

"All of my life I've never known You to fail; You remain the same and wonderful is Your name; You woke me up this morning, started me on my way; You put food on my table, You brought joy to my day; I'm glad Your love has never changed; And wonderful, and wonderful, and wonderful; Wonderful is Your name!"

Make sure add WONDERFUL to your address book, contact lists and go-to resources. When "wonderful" is on your side, He will never change. He will provide positive resources and results. Have a Wonderful day in Christ.
