Wisdom in God’s Word

Isaiah 55:11: [The Word that goes forth out of God's mouth shall NOT return to Him void (without producing any effect, useless), but it SHALL ACCOMPLISH that which HE pleases and purposes, and it SHALL PROSPER in the thing for which He sent it.
What has God said to you? What promises has He made to your heart, that you KNOW He spoke to you, but you have NOT YET seen come to pass? Well, BE ENCOURAGED today, because ALTHOUGH YOU HAVEN'T SEEN IT, IT WILL BE! As it says in today's Scripture, God's Word WILL ACCOMPLISH ALL that it was sent to accomplish. His Word will NEVER fail, or not succeed. That's why it is so IMPORTANT that we KNOW HIS WORD. How can we know what to expect, or what He has promised to us, or what our inheritance is, if we DON'T KNOW HIS WORD?
We know God's Word by READING it, STUDYING it, and MEDITATING ON IT. It is the ONLY STANDARD OF TRUTH that there is. God's Word truly is a "lamp to our feet and a light to our paths." (Psalm 119:105). When we don't know which way to go or when we don't know what to do, we simply have to LOOK TO HIS WORD for the answer. As James 1:5 says, "if we lack wisdom we should ASK OF GOD...and He WILL GIVE IT TO US, GENEROUSLY. The Bible is God's Word. As we open its pages, God is opening His mouth and speaking directly to us. What a PRIVILEGE we have to be able to learn and receive from Him in this way! Also, what a RESPONSIBILITY, because we have NO excuse. GOD IS SPEAKING, but WE MUST LISTEN by ACTIVELY DOING OUR PART to find out what He is saying.
So, as it says in Proverbs 4, let us receive SOUND TRAINING from the Lord. Let us NOT abandon His instruction, but HOLD FAST to His Word. Let us KEEP
GOD'S COMMANDMENTS and LIVE (v.4). Let us NOT FORGET or TURN AWAY from the Word of God, but let us acquire WISDOM, and with all our acquiring, let us get UNDERSTANDING as well. Let us PRIZE the WISDOM of God's Word, and EMBRACE what it says. By it, we will be EXALTED and HONORED, and by it, we will have FAVOR, PROTECTION, and LONG LIFE!
